Mini álbum:: Wanderlust

My recent fun getaway to the countryside is giving me also some funny moments to scrapbook. I have plenty of photos and memories that I want to translate to paper language :D
I used some of the photos for this album that I create for Scrapaddictes. You could see it here. If I have some more free time I will make something else for sure. I have some wonderful photos that need place to be documented!

I wanted to make something maze-like. I do not why. I just wanted to do it! It maybe is because my (not that) secret passion is to make a pop-up book.
I have included some photos openning the pages so you can see how it is made.

The two pages with the calendar are the base ones. From there, on the right and on the left you can open pages right, left, up and one of them is rotatory.
It was a challenge to design vertical pages and also combining these three pages between them when they are opened.( they form an L ) Trying to make them work together. (See the triangle between "fun" the flower and the calendar in the mountain pages.

I usuallly find difficult to combine nature photos with patterned paper. That blue and green... This Wanderlust collection helped a lot.
Do you find the same problems when working with photos with nature in it?

Have a wonderful day!

  3. I also struggle with patterned paper and nature. It's like nature already has its own pattern and anything else you bring into the mix is interfering.

I really, really love the Excursion page. I'm not usually the biggest lover of yellows and greens - but they go so well together here and the photo and patterned paper compliment each other.

    1. Thanks for your comment Caylee. I love your explanation about nature and its own pattern. So, so difficult to find something that match with it. Strangely, I think it doesn't happen with the sea and beaches...
The page you mention is one of the fastest that came out, eventhough at first, I was scared of that busy and tight pattern! :)
